Keeping Physically Active at Home.
The health and wellbeing of our children at St. Patrick’s is very important to all staff and we provide many different opportunities for our children to achieve the recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity (30 minutes at school and 30 minutes at home).
At School – We active playtimes with a schedule of different activities for the children to access at break and lunchtimes and during class we short Get Active breaks throughout the day to reenergise and refocus the children for their lessons.
At Home – One of the best ways to increase the amount of physical activity in our children’s daily routine is active transport. If you can walk, ride or even scoot to school in the morning or afternoon you can add regular activity to your child’s day. There are also some exciting and engaging games and websites to encourage physical activity. Click on some of the below links to have a good dance, try a new workout or challenge someone at home to a competition.
