Computing Policy
Please read our computing policy for more information about what computing looks like at Saint Patrick’s.
Computing Intent Document
This document shows the Core Knowledge, Wider Knowledge and Skills each year group cover.
The knowledge children will develop is broken into declarative and procedural knowledge. This helps to ensure that children have access to a sequential curriculum with opportunities to build on prior knowledge.
Our curriculum covers all aspects of the national curriculum and gives children the opportunity to apply this knowledge in an ever changing online world.
Computing Progression Document
Please read our Computing Progression Document which demonstrates how children build on prior knowledge over time and that teaching of Computing at St Patrick’s is sequential.
Adaptations to the Computing Curriculum
At St Patrick’s, we value inclusion and believe every child should access an enriching computing curriculum. This document outlines adaptations to support all learners, ensuring needs are met. Our goal is to foster creativity, confidence, and digital skills so every child can thrive in a connected world.
