Art Coverage Document

This document shows the Core Knowledge, Wider Knowledge and Skills each year group cover.

Core knowledge is the key knowledge that builds year upon year to build strong Artistic development. The wider knowledge builds our children’s cultural capital and understanding of the world and the skills allow children to develop transferable skills to apply across different contexts alongside their newly acquired knowledge.

In the Summer term we hold a fabulous art week in school with a whole school theme, visiting artists and a wonderful art exhibition. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to hold in this academic year but that just means our plans for Summer 2021 are getting even bigger! We can’t wait!
