Here are our new (and very enthusiastic) Chaplaincy Team.
Chaplaincy Team Roles and Responsibilities.
Each member of the Chaplaincy Team will be assigned a class;

Year Plan for 2016 - 2017
We had a meeting with the children to discuss what they would like to do in their new roles of Chaplaincy Team members.
We devised a plan for the year.
Chaplaincy team will help with fundraising events, i.e., School disco for Ghana project.
They will complete a prayer focus evaluation for their classes and feedback how these areas could be developed.
Chaplaincy team will help with fundraising events, i.e., Christmas card fundraiser.
They will take responsibility for setting up and taking the lead in our whole school Advent reflection at the end of each day during Advent.
The Chaplaincy team will take more responsibility for setting up before mass and clearing away after.
They will learn and take the lead in singing various different sung parts in mass, i.e., responsorial psalm, penitential rite, Lamb of God.
These children completed an application form at the beginning of the year and were chosen by Mrs. Sturrock and Marsha Kemple (Becket Chaplain)
They will help their class prepare for whole school liturgies and help the teachers/children during a class assembly, take responsibility for completing a prayer focus evaluation of their specific class and set targets how to improve these areas each time a Liturgical season changes.
Other responsibilities are;
Daniel and Sophie – House team assembly updates.
Cadie and Yami – Parent comment book after assemblies and Masses.
Joshua and Fura – Updating website on ‘Chaplaincy Team’ page.
Bradley and Aisha – Changing ‘Statements to live by’ and collecting Mass and Liturgy evaluations.
The Chaplaincy team will organise a Lenten fundraising event.
They will take responsibility for setting up and taking the lead in our whole school Stations of the Cross reflection at the end of the day during Lent.
The Chaplaincy team will carry out pupil questionnaires/ interviews for their classes and evaluate these. This will feed into an action plan for the following year on how to further improve the school’s Catholic Life, Collective worship and Religious Education.
The Chaplaincy team will work with RE Leaders and Trust Chaplaincy team on appointing a new Chaplaincy team for the next academic year. They will spend this half term training up the new Chaplaincy team.
